Is any of this actually confirmed? Are these better radios definitely coming to the Golf from BW22 and who has confirmed it? All I can see so far is speculation. The dealers don't seem to know anything about it but that's par for the course.

Worth pointing out that these figures above relate specifically to the R.

Tbh I don't know if it's worth having the DNS Pro over the bw22 uprated 6.5" screen.  Part of me thinks it is worth it.  If I go for the tech pack then I'll have to cancel the voice activation I speced as extra to the standard DNS so that's a bit more off the cost.  Will wait to see what dealer comes back with and the mull it all over!

Now with the £420 you save, you could order a Climate Screen and Advanced Telephone Prep and this still leaves you with a bit of change.

But I don't want the climate screen or advanced phone prep.  I'll pocket the change instead.  Stop spending my imaginary savings

I'm in Ireland and I got my dealer to look into this today.

He contacted VW Ireland and they have confirmed that the new media units will appear from BW-22. The catch here is that it's likely to be accompanied by a slight price hike.

If the 6.5" screen is high res, then no, the extra 1.5" is not worth £420, but...
