Hey all,
As mentioned in my post in the newbie section, i have purchased a Mk2GTI that was non running but suspected it was the fuel pump and starter motor...which turned out to be right after i had the garage replace them because they were seized. It was turning over yesterday and it started, but only run for about 2 seconds till it cuts out. The garage is now saying that it could be another fuelling issue, and this time its the fuse box inside the car (beneath the steering wheel) not delivering enough power to the fuel pump for it to run.
Question is, does this sound plausible? you can hear the relay clicking when turning the ignition. And also is it too much of a job to do, to switch fuse boxes? i'm more than happy to be doing that.
I welcome any response if you have had similar issues or know what may be wrong here.
**Also as this car has been stood for 7 years, could this be a result of fuel quality too?
Thanks
Gavin
