Your car looks awesome mate. Love the stance you have going on. How would you rate the suspension setup? I went through two sets of springs / damper setups on the polo, handled great but was so harsh on the roads. Must say, if love to drop the golf a few mm but really don't want to kill the comfy ride I now have

Its harsher, but everyone's opinion on harshness is different, driving motorways and a roads is great, if going gets bit bumpy you can definitely feel it compared to stock, more than tolerable for the 2k Miles a month I do though personally for me.

Well, i think anything has to be more comfortable than what the polo was. It was really harsh. I do about 20 miles a day in mine, down rough main roads, so i think i may just have to see how it sits on the new 18" alloys when i get them. :undecided:

Welcome! Lovely car, great colour :)

Defo Gun Metal or Anthracite. Don't go black against silver.

Here's mine with anthracite:

So after a couple of weeks of searching around, i finally got my hands on a set of genuine R LED Tails in exceptionally good condition (Big thanks to Jon ), and also a set of Bi-Xenon LED DRL Headlights.

Managed to get the headlights fitted in about 2 hours, taking my time. My OCD also kicked in midway, so ended up cleaning bits of the bumper which you would never even see  And fitted the tail lights within about 20 minutes.

Both really quite straight forward, it was the coding that caused me the most pain and headache, but it seems as though I've finally got there with the help of Alan (Cheers matey) and various threads. Everything seems to be working as it should, no bulb out errors and the tail lights are the correct brightness.

Both units have really transformed the look of the car, looks so much unto date, and rather mean looking.  Couple of teaser pics below.

Next buy will be the alloys and a set of rubber, but I've also found myself missing some noise, so an intake and possible middle box removal could be on the cards before i look for a remap

Thats all for now guys and girls, comments are always welcomed

Mavs the car looks great   The LEDs really transform it.  Those DRLs look much whiter/bluer than OEM ones, which are quite yellowy next to the xenons.  Like too see a pic of it with the xenons lit too.

Looking forward to watching how your car progresses. have you decided which alloys (and tyres) you're getting?

Btw, the pressed plates look

Looks good! The LED tails and the bi xenon lights really make the car. Happy to have helped.

Thanks Booth  Yeah they look great I think, will try and take a good picture later on with the xenon's switched on. They are a good cooler match to the LED bulbs. Like you say, the OEM ones are boarder line yellow, where as these are more white, with a tinge of blue. The pictures don't do the cool justice to be honest.

As for the tyres and alloys, still not 100& sure. Tyres are going to be either Conti Sport Contact 5's or Michelin pilot sport 3's. Alloys, I still very much love the diamond cut Monza's, but I think its going to be the Glen Watkins, with diamond cut face. Want to keep it looking OEM.

They are the ones from Xenonz UK, but I bought them from a guy on ebay only 12 weeks old. Like brand new!
