On a fairly well specced R:

DTD @ 10.5%.  This includes £750 you need to add on if not taking out a PCP deal (I'm cash buyer).  With the extra £750 discount it would be 12.5%.  Mind you the price differs every day!!

I was led to believe from the Audi forum that if you took advantage of their contribution i.e. the £750 on a PCP, as long as you paid it off with cash in x amount of days you then paid no interest and still get the advantage of the £750 contribution.

Actually, now you mention that does ring a bell from somewhere.  Thanks for that info, something else to check out and consider

I am sure that the £750 contribution is only if you are buying a GTI,there is no contribution on an R.

The £750 PCP contribution applies to the R too.  It's in the small print at the bottom of the webpage.

Are you sure? When you go to the overview page for GTI/GTD/R and specifically into finance within overview, there's a table with all 3 cars, with each row highlighting a different component of the overall finance cost, and in the deposit contribution row, only the GTI's column has £750 within it, the GTD and R columns are blank for that row.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

I got the train from Cornwall , did the trip in two parts as have family near Reading. Went without a hitch , even the trains we on time. I was picked up from the Station (James Callaway) and then spent about an hour doing the paperwork and running through the car. I did not get any freebies but was happy with £3300 discount  Drove the 300 miles back to Cornwall took me just over 6 hours. They sell a lot of cars but very efficient , would recomend. Hope all goes well in January.

My apologies, you are right AndyG and MH, the R is excluded.  I must be losing it  :embarrassed:

I've spent the last few days at work projecting costs for the next 17 years for all the sites in my service (lots), adding up seemingly endless figures (correctly, lol) and it's finally got to me!!  Number and word blindness.  I'm going to lie down in a darkened room now

Upside is it means the DTD discount is full 12% on the R.
