golf 18t is not boosting ,when got it there was the o2 sensor so put one on made no different, put dump valve on and still the joy can someone help please

Have a look for any vacuum hose that might have a kink in it, my car had boost problems, and it just turned out to be the vacuum hose coming off the n75 valve, causing it to stop the wastegate from working.

checked pipes , it did boost once for a couple of day and now nothing again, fitted boost gauge and it reads about 3psi

Scan it for codes. This should at least tell you where to start looking.
Standard (unmapped) boost is only about 5 psi or thereabouts, so you are not far off.

Itll be a block or cracked pipe somewhere, check under the inlet manifold maze of pipes under there

Are you getting no boost at all or are you getting very low boost. Check the bolts holding the turbo on the manifold
