Go for a Passat!

Like my 1.8t and a trip to Rtech! That gives you 200bhp!  :smug:

Is that from the 150 engine Len ?  Mpg and it still a quick car ?

Yes and it is now a VERY quick car!

As a Passat owner for many years, I feel that I'm qualified to say that it will still handle like a barge tho'. It's also a pretty heavy car. My B5.5 V6 TDI was modded to around 200bhp, but I wouldn't call it VERY quick at all.

Well mine is a 1.8t Sport which has better suspension and slightly lighter engine so makes a bit of a difference.
This is my second Passat first one I had for 3 years and was remapped again by Rtech to approx 190bhp.
This newer one has now made 200bhp and Rtech's RR is conservative.
your missing the fact its not a hatchback  oh and they are still slow with a map

+1 if I wanted a car that could be pushed harder.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

A clio 182 cup would make both passat and octavia look slow.

Hot hatch here not big heavy saloons

Im not it was a example. The old french cars were bad. 205 106 saxo etc but the modern ones aint so bad. I have drove one a few times. And they are very fun to drive. Hate to say it but a lot more fun than a golf turbo. They are great on track too.

Why dont you go on youtube and type in any car you are considering with track day on the end. So start with clio 182 track day.

A golf mk4 4motion? 4wd system and a nice sounding v6. Push about 205bhp too. Got to be top of list for me as a 200bhp mark hot hatch..thats why i have one

Honestly it is not as bad as i heard... the 6 speed box helps.. on motorways see easy low to mid 30's and around town averages about 20-25mpg. Not bad for a 2.8 v6 i think.. my mapped mk4 gti was not that far off them figures.

Need to own one to realise there not that bad on fuel i guess
