Why don't you just disconnect the down pipe from the cat?

That's all I ever do.

Done that!
But that would mean taking the front off completely which I didnt want to do and cant now due to the aircon.


Am managing to get to the four bolts/studs under the connector plate so that should suffice

Oh and I did manage to find my Haynes manual yesterday so maybe I should go have a good read!  :laugh:

Did you buy a replacement one Len as I've got a low mileage Febi spare up for sale at the moment - £15 posted

Infact, i've got loads of ABF bits and pieces up for grabs if you need anything mate?

Ok no worries, I would have kept it for myself but having just checked the part numbers I believe the TDI one is different so useless to me.
