Fuel Pump bhp?

Does anyone know what bhp a standard fuel pump for an AUM engine can handle?

There is no definite number seen as these cars are all quite inks now and many of the fuel pumps arnt as good as they used to be!
So with any decent power you should be looking at upgrading the pump for safety.
There was a aum at r tech last week where he stopped tuning at 200bhp because the fuel pump gave up!

A new aum unit will give about 260-290 bhp

I did have one fitted there because my old one couldn't stand up to the job for stage 2. It came from TPS and is the standard one for the AUM. The reason I ask is because three times while driving and putting my foot down, suddenly there is no power at all, although the car is still on and running, it is as if the accelerator has just stopped working. While this happens the EPC light came. As soon as I re-start the engine, the car is fine again. This does also throw a code up showing a problem with torque!

I just thought that this may of been the new fuel pump that caused the problem.

Yeah, that is what Nick at R-Tech said too. He told me to clean the TB and do a TBA and adjust the actuator to two turns of pre-load.

The code it showed was 17743/P1335 - Engine Torque Monitor 2: Control Limit Exceeded

Cheers

I have been looking it up on the net and there are various suggestions of the cause, from the maf to the actual map! So I don't know what to think, but I do know when driving in the fast lane of the motorway doing 70ish  it is a bit of a scary moment when the throttle response totally goes, especially at night time!

Update for those who are interested.

I did a TBA as Nick at R-Tech suggested and all seems well. I have had no more EPC lights come on or that torque code show either. All I have had now and then is the traction control light flicker sometimes when I put my right foot down.
