It's already got a couple of bits on it but will probably be irrelevant as I'm going to do every properly!
It's in good nick to say I only paid 450 but its got a suspected blocked pick up pipe so unknown damage to the engine which doesn't bother me to much as it will be having a fully rebuilt engine with large port head etc

This mo th it's gonna to be cheap jobs due to just splashing out and Christmas
......
So starting with stripping out the I interior
So if anyone wants to buy some its up for grabs

Plan your safety upgrades along with the other fiddling about with the engine and suchlike, if it's actually going to be properly made into an actual track car.

See Prawn's A3 for further details.

Cars for road and track are quite different in their requirements.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Good.  Do it properly.  Bored of people starting a 'I'm going to build an amazing track car' threads, only to rip the interior out, bodge a bucket seat in, nail some harnesses to completely the wrong mounting points and then stand back and look pleased with themselves.

As they say on Northloop.

Weld-in 6-point from CustomCages?

http://www.customcages.co.uk/Rollcage/LoadRollCage.castle?manufacturer=Volkswagen&model=Golf%20Mk4%20Clubman&type=6%20Point

£1150 inc VAT installed but looks after cage plus harness bars for the harnesses.  I (and all those who've seen the quality of the welding) can vouch for their install - it's uber high quality.

Or bolt in, what's wrong with this:

http://www.safetydevices.com/motorsport/products/roll-cage/Volkswagen+Golf+Mk4-1997-2004/564/

Note this is a 6-point bolt-in cage where it appears you can order harness bars in the rear section - make sure you do!
