The ecu is the same part number and was removed from the same car model as mine

Will check up on it in the morning

A small update for you guys , I fitted a new ecu this evening to the car , I replaced the original ecu with one of the same part numbers and from the same car a 1.8se manual ,

Coded in with vagcom and its running now , when on idle no problems revs up fine ect
When I drive it its awfull no power pops and bangs every gear change and is undriveable

It is exactly how it was when I had the timing out before so need to recheck that in the morning otherwise need to look in to it as it takes a while to start aswell.

Its deffo ignition related.

Any ideas need thus sorted ASAP

Right I sorted it this morning just took some head scratching

I adjusted my dizzy and it ran fine but revved high
So I put it back and went on vagcom and put it in to
Basic settings got a strobe light out and timed it up and set the timing at 6"
And it runs perfect now

Jut shows perseverance pays off and car
is all sorted now

Thanks for all your help guys !
