I went with the brembos for 190. The pagids were 110 for the discs and 70 for the pads so I figured I'd go in an extra tenner for the brembos. Time will tell if that was a good choice. Thanks for the input though.

All of the pagids I've seen are just a flat surface rather than grooved or anything. Would you say they're good enough and buying more expensive ones would be overkill for what I'm going to be using them for or if I can afford better ones then get better ones? I Don't want to waste my money but I don't want to cheap out either

Flat faced are absolutely fine, drilled and grooved are not needed unless you're going to track it and your brakes are cooking or you're trying to save weight. All they'll do is wear your pads faster and potentially crack.

Love drilled and grooved they look so much better through the alloy and i class them as a upgade. My front brake seized on so bad if you jacked it off the floor the wheel would be impossible turn by hand, i only found out as it had a punture. Machanic said it would be fine to drive home as the discs are made to get rid of heat, something like that.

I like ebc ultimax discs purely for the coating, no rust around the edge of the discs. Usually go ferodo for pads

Yep, brakes are designed to get f**king hot due to being seized and be absolutely fine. Not.

I've seen a seized caliper feck brake pads, discs, grease seals and a bearing all in one hit. The brake disc was blue and seriously, seriously cracked.

The van had about 3 tonne on it most days too.

Brakes, don't feck about with them.

Drilled and grooved are Pish plain and simple unless you pay for the top dog stuff It simply wears your pads quicker and can end up breaking the disk faster!!! Your simply paying extra for sh!tter quality so it looks better

I saw the same lot I bought going for 240 as well so that's what made me but them. I've got no experience with car mechanics at all really, brembos a known brand, seemed like a good idea. Guess we'll find out

On eurocar parts it's was 20 each rear disc, 35 each front. Then the pads. I got everything for 189. Seemed like a fair deal
