More than a few times I have been close enough to the car in front to warrant the 2 cars facing each other symbol lighting up and it has not been there, as if my car isn’t seeing the car in front. It seems to “see” the car in front more reliably when we’re both going uphill. On the flat or downhill, not so much. I wonder whether my sensor has a slight “looking up” slant whereby when you’re not going uphill, my car’s sensor ends up looking over the top of the car in front and not seeing it.
I was surprised that the warning system alerted me with the red screen of impending doom when a lycra goon on a pushbike swung out in front of me about 10 yards ahead of the car. He had been tucked behind his mate but decided to start riding 2-abreast without warning when I was looking to go past them wide. I really didn’t think a pushbike would trigger an alert.
