Hi,

Im a bit confused.  Active cruise control i did not appear to be an option when I ordered my GTI in late October? Is it then?

Thanks

Ian

It's standard

Active cruise control is standard on all GTI's & GTD's.  I thought it would be a gimmick but it is very useful, especially when driving along Dorset country lanes with slow(er) moving traffic in front. When the opportunity arises, just put your foot down and glide smoothly past.

I was stuck in stop start traffic today in cheadle ,and it was scary the way it stopped the car then moved off again when the car  in front moved off , with the  dsg I just had to steer , always had my foot over the brake pedal just in case but was 100% safe every time
Still don't trust it. Though

Did you find that if you came to a complete stop that you had to touch the accelator to make car move again and resume the cruise control. I have a GTD with DSG also

No never touched the accelerator , my passenger was as stunned as I was
Then she wanted to know why it wouldn't steer itself in traffic , but could park itself

You can scrap this topic.  Whilst driving through Poole this morning, and without the ACC on, a car in front of the car in front suddenly stopped, and low and behold the Front Assist kicked in with the warning sign and started the braking, a fraction just before I applied the brakes.  Amazing.

My DSG GTD will bring to a complete stop but if stopped and the auto hold comes on it won't move off again without tapping the accelator to make it restart. Even comes up on the MFD and says ACC ready to start. I tried turning off the stop/start incase it was messing with it but still no joy.... Anyone else out there same problem?

how it works  with dsg
ADC?? (Adaptive Distance Control)! What's ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) then? Front Assist only works under 30kph AFAIK...
