I traded in my manual Mk7.5 PP manual in for a manual Mk8. The Mk7.5 was showing its mileage and had some expensive service work on the horizon. I spotted the Mk8 while I was looking for a replacement. It’s in great condition and came with the nice Estoril wheels. After the test drive I couldn’t say no but it was hard to say goodbye my Mk7.5.

How's many miles was your 7.5 on?

New boots fitted, replaced the Kumho PS71 with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6. What an improvement! No more spinning in 3rd (still does in 2nd), massive improvement in road noise, SO much quieter and the don't transmit the knocks and bangs of minor potholes etc.
Fantastic!

Also just put new boots on, Goodyear Vectors, great deal from Costco. They currently have a Goodyear promotion on. They are fantastic when the going gets slippery.

Busy long weekend, got it back on the road today. Decimal Tenths TTRS clutch kit, AKS/iAbED rear main seal, new slave cylinder, HEL clutch bleeder block. Hell of a job to do on the drive. Only done about 15 miles but the new clutch feels only slightly heavier than stock and still lighter than the factory clutch in my Wife's BMW Mini. Should be a all set for a.remap soon.

One unexpected side effect is the auto-hold has started acting up. I believe its because the clutch sensor needs recalibrating with diagnostic tool to account for the new clutch. Need to look into that a bit more.

Whilst I was in there, I noticed the water pump leaking very slightly too
