I have has some quotes for a new car detail and tbh they are not bad. I'm a complete newbie when it comes to car detailing. I have been doing some research on what and how etc and I got to thinking that maybe I could do it myself. Obviously not to the same extent as a pro but I have noticed that people on here have.
My clean was going to be along the following lines:
1) Hose car down initially
2) snow foam the car using a karcher foam gun - any good foams you could recommend
3) Hand wash using the two bucket method with lambswool mit and gtechniq g wash
3) Hand dry using microfibre cloths
4) Use Gtechniq C2V3 to seal the entire car and the wheels
5) seal the leathers with gtechniq l1
Is that enough of should I be doing more.
Comments and advice much appreciated.
Thanks
This would be classy as a quick weekend was for me.....
If you are going to do a full detail you need at least 4-8 hours. Thats includes all the tasks you said, plus claybaring, machine cut, machine polish, iron X wheels, seal wheels, coat of sealant, full wax, add touch up paint if needed, wet sand them the day after, tyre sealant, glass polish, full interior vax and clean, wash and seal tail pipes etc....
A detail is everything and more. It has taken me about 6 months to acquire all the products i need.
