Can you link to where they're available from online? I've been looking at these;

Similar to what you're referring too?

Here's a link to the Mk5 R32 front hoses via HEL, the page defaults to a full front/rear set but fronts only are £39 including delivery  :smiley:

Thanks for that. For an extra few quid to hugely improve the feel of the brakes, I think it's worth it. Just got to wait for next month's budget now!

Quick question, I just had my brake fluid changed by Volkswagen, what sort do they use, DOT 4 or DOT 5?

4 i would have thought

5 is for track cars etc

OK, did think so. Will probably give VW a call and find exactly what is in there. For now I only plan to run standard fluid but when it comes to track use I shall swap for DOT 5.

I've tried all sorts of 'performance' fluids in mine over the years and tbh I've found no discernible difference between them compared to the OEM VW fluid...
Theres absolutely no difference between the fluid that goes into a humble golf and that which goes into a ceramic brake equipped Audi R8 for instance... I just use OEM fluid changed twice a year due to the track use and it's been spot on  :smiley:

So maybe I should just grab 1 litre of genuine VW brake fluid then, like this below;

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-VW-Audi-Skoda-Seat-1-Litre-Brake-Fluid-B-000-750-M3-VW-NORM-501-14-/181223918627?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2a31c98c23

I'll phone my local garage and confirm what they used, as mixing types is something I wish to avoid! I'll be buying those Hel brake lines too shortly, so stay tuned for the update! :)

Does anyone know part numbers and/or prices for genuine VW R32 carrier bolts? I'm thinking of buying from the dealer but like to try and shop around for a better deal...
