Hi,
Just wondering if anyone who has their GTI/GTD has specced the DynAudio ? Whats your thoughts/opinions on it and do you have any pictures of the system
Thanks
It is on a demo I had for an extended test drive and I wasn't blown away, not in the slightest. I do think that the upgrade will be most useful to those that would otherwise run the stock system at least 75% of max.
Anyone who has specced it will tell you that it is the best thing ever - they've just spent £500 on it. They wouldn't be spoending that money if they didn't believe it would benefit them. Look at yourself and the way you listen to music in your car. If you don't tweak the bass up and have volume over 50% of max almost all the time then you definitely won't be getting the most out of it.
Firstly not comparing BOSE to Dynaudio system just the experience from standard set up to being sold to option vastly improved one.
Upgraded from standard A3 set up to BOSE (that is 3 years with each set up) when got newer model and aside from the cool looking speaker covers feel strongly that it was money I should have spent elsewhere.
The standard set up is pretty decent in it's own right and more than adequate for the usual driving conditions particularly if you have an increased amount of time with passengers - maybe if do tons of motorway miles on own you might be able to get the additional benefit as system gains better conditions to offer the improved quality and you hear some of clarity that standard system would miss.
At home I have a Denon system that got 5 stars in What Hi Fi (like most here, researched it to death

) and high end headphones/speakers, so do understand what decent sound is. The main difference is the home system is in perfect conditions to really appreciate the quality where a car is compromised by conditions.
Of course many will disagree with this but as always just a personal and subjective opinion and mine even more so as tend to listen to radio a lot more these days which again dilutes any audio quality gain that would be seeking.
If I had decent budget and can just simply afford it then do as them plates alone are very cool and there will be times you will be able to pick out that greater quality but if you are down to choosing one thing over an other then there is more bang for your ££ in options that will genuinely improve experience each and every day.
I have specced ACC some will say makes no difference, some will say the fact it is active at all times it improves comfort markedly - subjectivity rules here and it is great to see everyones views and when an overwhelming consensus it really helps in a choice but if it is ever split you are down to it being truly a personal one.
