Heated seats? Stop being a soft sh!te!

I imagine heated seats to give you that same uncomfortable feeling of parking up on a warm toilet seat.... :embarrassed:

Haha!  Dual zone climate anyone?!  Will yours be off in winter?! ;)

You need to come out drinking in Tynemouth on a December night, the fresh North Sea air pounding you in the walk between pubs – it is obligatory to be wearing a short sleeved shirt,  no jumpers allowed! Long sleeved shirts are for work only.

Warmed seats only really semi-necessary for leather seats – a cold leather seat is going to feel a lot colder on your arse than a cloth one.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

Pub walk tradition sounds good, nothing against a brisk cold night!

I agree, leather seats definitely need it, but they also need cooling in summer.  Much prefer cloth seats for their better grip and thermal qualities

After having cloth and leather both with winter pack I much prefer cloth seats. Saying that I also prefer manual leather seats to the crap electric ones

Has anoyone gone with the Dynaudio option? £525.00 quid i believe

I was thinking about it, I have yet to have my BW confirmed, but more than likely it will be 45 the sales chap said. I was hoping to add this as an option, but been advised this would push back the order...really?! Its not even in progress yet. Is he fobbing me off?

Must admit, it was the only option I was really bothered about not having. Trouble is I don't want to shell out £525 and then have to give the car back after 3 years. It's got to be worth having if it's your own car as they spec up all the speakers and you get a sub in the boot.

Might go for one of these (if it fits as these are for MK5/6) as it's neat and I can take it out when it's time.

In answer to your questions, it looks like most people have specced Dynaudio and I wouldn't believe anything VW or the dealer says!

The standard system is perfectly adequate unless you are a huge music fan and are going to spend plenty of time in the car. You also have the fallback position of adding a sub through the accessories if your not happy with the standard set up

Yeah, I'm more than happy with the standard audio setup, and as you say, bass can be supplemented if required.

That's what the sales guy said as well, puts my mind at rest then if the standard is good enough. Was just looking for a poor excuse perhaps to add options and after options. The gtd comes pretty much with everything I need anyway, think I would be adding options for the sake of it

It's easy to fall into the trap!  I tend to focus on options that genuinely add new functionality/experiences rather than just expand on what is already there.  Audio is a great example of that.  With the stock setup I can play MP3s off my SD card and to my ears they sound great.  Do I really want to spend an extra £500 on making it sound a bit better, inside a car with wind and road noise?  By the same logic, I added Basic Nav, but is Pro Nav worth an extra grand when all I want to do is get from A to B without having any wires dangling from a separate unit on the windscreen?  No, Basic Nav more than has that covered.

Such a personal thing though, so can only give you my insight and reasoning.  When it comes to options, we are all right!

Yeah, you're all wrong - I've got it and it sounds the nuts, and is well worth the money!  So boo!
