Ha, Ill pretend I haven't read the hundreds of other posts about VW making a complete hash of the launch of the Mk7 GTI/D and believe in complete ignorance that its cus' they wanted too to "build exclusivity"!
They are a business and want to sell as many cars as possible, end of.

Did you test drive the 125d and make these decisions or is it just from reading online...

The BMW has been out for circa 18 months now so you cant really compare wait times, i'm sure in 18 months time you wont be waiting 5 months for a GTD because they will be everywhere same as the 1 series.

The Seat Leon FR is far better value than the GTD for essentially the same car with a slightly inferior interior but no one likes to make that point!

GTD is a good soot chucker but how you go on makes it sound like VW have revolutionised the industry with it

My problem with the SEAT is the interior and paying so much less for something I sit in and know is compromised  for me would be not much consolation, think the only VAG group one I would go for outside Audi and VW is the Skoda and yes I have seen all in flesh to judge.

I prefer Skoda as well but then I didn't like the last generation Seat either.

The Leon looked the same as an Altea...

Mine was due in stock early October, that has been put back by 3 weeks due to parts shortage (not ordered camera) - Ordered mid May.

Only information have so cannot give any further details though I personally expect that to be delayed some more as that is the track record

This is company lease so not overly bothered as happy to keep driving my present around but just another example of how poor VW have been in getting these out to customers.

A dealer mentioned last week that there is a recent supply issue affecting some existing unbuilt orders with nav systems.  They were contacting customers to give them the bad news.

Thanks for this as nice to know the culprit

Could maybe understand it for the DCC or something else that is more of a select option where they maybe misjudged the the uptake but the basic sat nav, though an option still, is as close to a standard fit as can get.

In fact is it just not the standard media unit with the sat nav enabled? or could it be the sat nav ariel and not the unit?

Any way you spin it though not something you would expect to cause a parts delay.

Admit to have gone way past the stage of caring and it will arrive when it arrives and sure be very happy with it once it does.

Geez.  Is there an option left that they haven't had supply issues with?
