WTF!!!!!! GTD delayed by another 5 months

I have just had a phone call from my dealer saying that my order had been put back to week 51!!!

I ordered my GTD on the 15th April, this means that if this stands I will have to wait for 10 months.

What's your spec? Did they offer any explanation, like maybe VW are doing this or the dealership cocked up their allocations or have manipulated them to bring someone elses order haead of yours? I would tell them to bugger off and cancel. Are you via a broker?

Depending on how much you want the car and how much discount you got I'd be looking to cancel and reorder with the best discount currently available (still 12% ?), and take your business elsewhere on principal if nothing else.

5 dr Tornado red with Sat nav (not pro) and park assist, no explanation from VW. The dealer is trying to get to the bottom of it.

Errrr, I'd be cancelling straight away and heading over to the BMW garage.  120d - quicker and nearly as economical.  That is absolutely outrageous!

Only worth it if they give out free paper bags for life and throw in the optional indicators for free too.

Go elsewhere (broker) and see what they can do for you and then get your depoosit back. Nothing specced there with known delay issues.

Damn.  That sucks.  I feel your pain.  What was your original estimate?  Your spec is pretty vanilla apart from park assist.  Surely park assist cant be the cause?
