Didn't think about that to be honest. Just want them replaced at the moment see if it sorts out the banging noise

Nah no clunking on full lock but hitting small bumps the back does bang, think that's the rear bushes. The actual original post sounds like its coming from the front though?!
Still baffled gonna get my mate to look over all the arms, suspension, mounts etc see what he can find.
Was meant to get the rear bushes done today but had to cancel.

Update:
So all bushes, arms, mounts and suspension is all fine!
Still no resolve on this mystery noise though?!

Wheel spun on a wet drain cover the other day and there was the loud bang again  also another d**khead pulled out on a blind corner slammed on the brakes and there was the loud bang again?!!

Sounds like its from the front left of the car  could it be the ABS locking up or something? But then wouldn't the dash light up if there was a problem?

So baffled what this is, no one seems to know :undecided:

Has this only started since getting the lower wishbones replaced?
If so it could be due to them not torquing the bolts to the right specification... as mentioned they may look and feel tight but with the weight of the car it might be a different thing.

What lower wishbones did you buy. Some guys have opted for non-gen ones in the past the the bushes were like liquorice on their lowered cars.

ARB-wise when the bushes are worn, they only tend to make noise all the time or during uneven roads when the wheels move independantly.... not just went just braking.

Check front subframe bolts are tight - mine werent when i have some work done on my car which resulted in knocking

Usual suspects for knocking during braking are wishbone bushes so not really sure what else to suggest

We did check all the bolts were tight but will double check them again to see if they are right.

Yeah the arms aren't genuine but I've used them before and they have been fine guess could have a dodgy one this time round.

I'm getting slightly obsessed with this now but I'm running out of things to check

How did you check the top engine mounts?
I had a similar problem and I found when I removed the gearbox
Mount it felt ok moving it up and down but if I pushed it  left and right quite hard it actually shifted its position and replacing it solved the knocking issue.
