F1 auto center £380 all parts VW parts 2 year warrenty takes 4 hours
4 hours to do a timing belt  :laugh: dont take it there

Timing belt pump the lot
can be done in less than 2 hours  :grin:


well its funny you should say that

I phoned 5 gargages and they ALL said its about 4 hours worth of work

it "would" take four hours if you add up all the tea breaks and 5 min chats etc  :whistle:

4 hours book time IIRC. Could be wrong. That does include a coolant flush and not just a drop it out and put it back.

I got em down to 1.45 on one the other day. Had plenty of practice and it was it's first time (well overdue) so nothing had been bodged up and overtightened before.

Where all my moneys went.

Can be done in 2 hours but you have to take into account things going wrong which they normally do  :laugh:

I've done a few the first time it took about 3 hours but the last time it took about 1hour and 45 mins so im sure will sort it no worries rylarr  :cool:

the heater will be blowing cold if pump failing. had same problem with a car at work the other day. heater cold but temp gauge shooting into red zone.
