Hey guys, I'm BW33, and this morning mine changed to In Transit. But says on average it takes 4 weeks to arrive at the dealer, that's it. So in what part/where do you see the countdown on? Is it at the bottom? So hopefully my text will change over time to an eta?

"In Transit" the text changes from 4 weeks to 3 weeks to 10 days if I remember correctly.  After that it's in the UK where it can take 7 days to get to the dealer.  You won't get a collection date until it's at your dealer and you speak to them about the  handover.

Bear I totally apologise... I was being a dick.  :embarrassed:

For some reason I took your previous sign off pic like a red rag to a bull and totally overreacted.

I should have thought more about your overall contribution to the forum than just reacting to that

Totally my bad.

After my conversation with VW UK today I'm tempted to join you in the BMW 135 club.

It was an odd conversation.

Was calling to find out where my car was, BW32 apparently built BW33 according to them a week ago.

Change of story today, now say it was built BW32 and has been sat at Emden docks for just over two weeks. Said it can take several weeks to ship a car because of necessary security checks (no idea what that's meant to really mean), but they 'hope' to have it on a boat by Monday. (If all that's true, the tracker is useless, none of that matches up with what the dealer has said either).

Ended with a very long winded version of 'Until your car has been in transit for over four weeks, there is no problem and you should should contact your retailer rather than ourselves'... (Erm, car was meant to be here before July!)...

Good on ya' GtG :)

Regarding your car, as annoying as it is, at least your car is built and will be on a boat soon I'm sure.  It's a few short weeks away, so why not just accept the worst-case scenario (which admittedly is an unknown quantity!) and manage your own expectations?  I actually got fed of feeling negative about it all the time, so just assumed I'd be getting mine mid-late September.  As it happens, I'm getting it a lot sooner, but if it had gone the whole hog I wouldn't have been too disappointed.

For the past couple of weeks my dealer has been fantastic, so some faith restored, if a bit late.

so . . . for those of you whose cars are in transit recently. Are they coming with the reverse camera if you had specified one?

How would they know?  But, it's fair to say that if they ordered the camera, it will be there.  If mine doesn't have it when I collect on Sunday I'll be taking it as a loan car, insisting on a rebuild, and some financial compensation for the extra wait
