Annoying rattle from 2.5 to 3.5k rpm

My 8v GTI has developed a loud and annoying rattle between 2.5 and 3.5k rpm. I've had a listen but can't place where it may be coming from! I have uploaded a vid to photobucket, any suggestions as to where to look?

Most likely going to be an exhaust heatshield. Prob the down pipe shield. People tend to rip them off but they are there for a reason

put a big jubilee clip round the bottom of the downpipe heat sheild

yeh ill say heat sheild. although mine wasnt the manifold but from there back

jack the car up nice and high and look under it

More than likely the exhaust downpipe heat-shield, I had to rip mine out as it was past salvageable unfortunately..

Had that on my 8v since I got it, whilst changing the lambda on the ramp noticed the heat shield on the downpipe was loose (as others have said above).

You can put a jubilee around the bottom or if you have access to a welder, just grind it back a bit and weld it in place. Mines all sorted now.
