right fellas, ready to fit the most rediculous exhaust available on a budget, before i do, let me know to you long standing holders of this system if you have experience issues etc, i ran into this thread

I've only glanced at that link, are they complaining about lack of back pressure? Both myself and Wazzzer noticed a positive difference when removing the 3" exhaust in favour for a 2.5".

how very interesting, i suppose to benefit the exhaust a sports CAT would need welding to support a bit more back pressure? though i always thought that the turbo itself caused a back pressure build up in it self which made the smaller pipe sizes a bit pointless but in relation to your positive difference could you elaborate?

It definitely felt like I had to give it more throttle to go anywhere. I went down to 18mpg at one point

I think it all depends on the power you are aiming for.
It states in the link that 3" is suitable for 250bhp - 350bhp.
That may not be exact figures but it may mean it has a slight restrictive effect on car running less due to the exhaust as cooling and slowing.

It's still going to be better then standard and good of going for a hybrid for example.
If your aim at 250bhp or less a sports cat would probably work  :smiley:
