My Mk6 gtd is only 6 months old, but already it has occured a problem, there is a 'clinging' sound coming when I drive over a rough road surface. I think its to do with the suspension, but im no mechanic so i'll leave it to them.

Anyway im going to book it into the garage I bought it from to get the problem fixed under warranty. Now, my issue is plain and simple;

How do I put it in a nice way to the garage to give me a good/fast car as a courtsey. Is it wrong to ask them for something fast or nice such as a GTI. Any suggestions?

I suspect you be offered whatever they have as loan cars.
A Polo or Up! maybe.
I very much doubt they'll have a GTI available as a loan car.

I don't think they 'have' to give you anything fancier than basic transport.

They may be willing to let you borrow a demonstrator of something fancy...but they aren't obliged to.

Anything can be sold to me if the customer service is right. My GTD was bought from VW Chester just because of their good hospitatlity and brilliant customer service. But Chester is 90 miles from where I live so it is not practical for me to take the car there and get it fixed.

Ive dealt with the closest VW garage to me (Blackburn) in the past and they are just downright rude and s***, but I decided to give them a call today and see how they could help me.

VW Blackburn- will provide me with a loan car Polo 1.2 or 1.4 PLUS they will charge 12.50 per day :O

Then I thought id give VW Chester a call and see how they compare...

VW Chester- will either give me a VW Passat 2.0 diesel 140 OR a VW Golf GTI convertible, with no charge

Big up to VW Chester  :smug:

Why does it matter, its only a loan vehicle?

That's my thinking too...as long as I get a car, I'm not bothered.

Besides, everybody knows that nothing is faster or can out handle a courtesy / hire car.

I had a 1.0 Polo yesterday and had great fun ragging the tits off it.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

If you drive a proper hot hatch (GTi) you'll only wish you'd ordered one

In a perverse kind of way, I quite like getting a low rent courtesy car. Make you appreciate your own car when you get it back.

I had an Audi A1 1.6 TDI last time (dealer has the Audi franchise on the same site at the VW dealership). The time before that, the 1.2 Polo courtesy car was brilliant for taking all my garden rubbish to the local tip . Saved me dirtying up the inside of my car!
