I did a pcp on my BMW over 4 years. First time I have done this. Normally I go down the hp route. My ballon payment at the end of the deal is 10.5k and my monthly payments are £320. The nett cost of the car with discount was 32.5k and I put a good deposit of 10k down. As soon as I purchased the car I opened up a savings account just for the car and put any spare cash in there. I've got quite obsessed about this with the ballon payment hanging over me and managed to save 4k in 8 months. So it looks like I will probably change in 3 years and have a healthy deposit of 12k for my next car ( maybe a golf R

). BMW were doing 4.9% apr at the time on the pcp. I got 7.5% off the new car. The max achievable is 10%. It's all swings and roundabouts really with car financing. However, I like keeping the payments as low as possible therefore I would certainly consider a pcp again based on my experience thus far. The key is saving for the ballon payment though!
I'm looking forward to seeing some of the new mk7s on here and on the road. It looks a peach and is getting great reviews. Might have to test drive one myself to check out the competition.
I'm still very pleased with the 125i m sport though. The rear wheel drive handling is fantastic especially in sport mode with the lowered apaptive suspension. The gear shifts feel seamless compared to dsg with great levels of torque. Exhaust note is crap though compared to the golf though which is my only real gripe. I would certainly sway towards another BMW again based on the car and dealership experience (they have better coffee machines than the VW dealers
