VW0401-13

We can now confirm that pricing and specification for GTI and GTD are as in the below price list and that Automatic Distance Control (ADC) is standard on both cars.

We delayed the open for order date by a day to make sure we published the correct prices and specifications. Customer orders will be built from week 22.

Only market entry and function cars will be built before the week 22 (27 May) model year 14 change; these will be built without ADC but with cruise control instead.

On a GTI??  What were they thinking of?
Looks like a male organ waiting to pop out.

Ridiculous.

I am actually really sad now.

Is this a wind up?

To be fair to the Automatic Distance Control Cyclops eye, when I saw the GTI at the Geneva motorshow I was pleasantly surprised by how unoffensive it looked in person. Saying that, I wouldn't pick it as an option and I'd rather not have it as standard spec. It wouldn't be an absolute deal breaker for me though. Too bad VW UK didn't throw something in which many potential GTI owners might actually want...

+1, someone write an e-mail to them, or Lee mention it.

ADC to me is just a gimmick, its not something I would ever use, and does make the front end look stupid.

Was really pleased with the original spec as it did't include it, I also think I read on the German forums they had delays with cars specced with it?

You say that, but other than on a deserted motorway in the early hours, how often can you use good old fashioned cruise control in this country, without constantly having to adjust the speed?

On DSG cars especially, I think it's brilliant. Just a same it looks so awful.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Yeah, F30s made in Rosslyn, SA for export to Asia, Austrialia, NZ, North & South America.
For Europe and North America, F30s made in Germany at 2 sites - Munich and Regensburg.
VW Golfs are also produced in SA?
No, last golf made here was G5. We make polos for export now. All our G6s came from Germany, our G7s also made there.

I've used it a handfull of times normally when driving on a motorway and eveytime someone has pulled into the gap you leave from the car in front.
Golfgti build quality is average at best.
