VW0401-13

We can now confirm that pricing and specification for GTI and GTD are as in the below price list and that Automatic Distance Control (ADC) is standard on both cars.

We delayed the open for order date by a day to make sure we published the correct prices and specifications. Customer orders will be built from week 22.

Only market entry and function cars will be built before the week 22 (27 May) model year 14 change; these will be built without ADC but with cruise control instead.

I would hazard a guess at...

ADC - Automatic Distance Control
ACC - Adaptive Chassis Control
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

I have to admit I am still not convinced on the looks. I seen a red tdi blue motion in the supermarket car park today an I have to admit it looks nowhere near as good as the mk6. I also priced up a GTD out of interest and it was £31K there is no way I am buying one at that price.

The options I am currently considering baring in mind I travel nearly 20K a year.

94mpg!!!!!! No Road Tax. Fully spec'd at £16.5K - 20% its in the skoda offer makes it just over 13K. Hopefully might be a straight swap for my 3 year old GTD.

Or

Then I can look for something fun.... (second hand)
mk5 Gti, mk5 R32, mk5 Ed30, Audi S3, Catherham? Anything more crazy?
Diagonally parked in a parallel universe.
On Order: Mk8 R, Pure White, Reversing Camera, Harmon Kardon, Heated seats all round.
Gone: Mk7.5 R, 5dr, DSG, Deep Pearl Black, 18” Cadiz, Nav, Winter Pack, Keyless, Dynaudio and Reversing camera.
Gone: Mk7 R, 5dr, DSG, Limestone Grey, 19" Pretoria's, Nav Pro, DCC, Winter Pack, Keyless, Mobile Prep and Reversing Camera.
Gone: Mk6 GTD, 5dr, Manual, Tornado Red, 18" Vancouvers, RCD510 + Dynaudio, heated seats.

I have to admit the mpg is just not up to scratch to move over.  Especially if I go get an R32 or something. I like the idea of funding only a fun car on Roadtax, and the 25mpg will even out the 90mpg 4 out of 5 days of the week. Plus the insurance will be not a lot with a 1.2TDI CR 75bhp. The R32's are just so expensive for what they are mind.
