simple step by step guide?
if you just want to draing the coolant not flush it then...

bottom rad hose off (coolant from rad/engine will come out)
hose that goes into the block from heaters box off (youl see it)
wait until no more comes out.
reconnect
60% coolant 40% water mix. so 4 litres coolant, 2 water
pour in via expansion tank, leave the cap off
engine on
while on squeeze the hoses you can get to to push out air bubbles
do this until engines at around 90 and or you see no more bubbles coming from the expansion tank.

should be it.

Think I should do mine on my 20vt......Does it have to be G12 or something like that?

G12 is oem spec, i'm not convinced that its any better for an old high mileage 8v than any other branded coolant but for the VR/16V/20V its probably the right choice.

G12 can be bought from TPS or Euro's if I remember correctly mate. As for flushing......I think it is a case of draining all your coolant then putting a hose pipe in your expansion bottle with the bottom hose still off your rad and letting the hose run for 10 mins or so which should clear all the cr@p out.
