My advice would be not to change your diet too drastically just yet.

Just start going out for jogs/do some weight. From experience if you go in hard with a full on routine and strict diet you'll quickly loose enthusiasm for it all and likely just loose the effort all together.

Enjoy going out for the runs and doing weight excerses, then when you want to really start seeing results start stripping back your diet.

That works for me because naturally I'm a lazy person haha. If I went balls out and stopped eating everything I enjoy and had a full on work out routine I would have burnt out months ago. Now I actually enjoy doing my fitness and now thinking about how I eat a lot more to really refine the results.

Kerrse......How do you know all the guys and girls at your gym are natural mate?  Unless it is a small gym or a gym that is aimed at keep fit rather than bodybuilding  then that is understood, anything to do with Bodybuilding these days there will be Steroids involved. The gym I go to, well the majority are honest and will say that they are on this or that, the occasional guy will say he is natural when he is not, I don't understand these guys, why lie if they are on something?  Very common ways of telling!!  The person starts to lift heavier weight in a short period of time, the person will gain body mass a lot faster, mild acne on the upper back, slight water retention around the jaw line.....Plus any girl in the gym no matter how old, fat, ugly will be under threat from the user as you want to sh@g everything!.....Some of the girls I have been with over the years, makes me feel ill just thinking about it......But my Test levels were high and I would go with whoever/wherever/whatever was easy

Ninja....If you want results instantly then go on Winstrol @ 50mg ED, Clens at 50mg ED and Proviron @ 25mg ED.....Run this for 4 weeks.....You will loose around 2 stone and your abs will come out a treat!!

On a serious note bud as I know you want to go natural......Work out what you are eating, lower your carbs, up your cardio. If you have a dog that is great. I have an American Bulldog and he comes out with me every morning at 6.30 for a 30 min brisk walk.

Do this for yourself bud......Train hard, sleep at least 8 hours per night, eat very well.....I know I just said do it for yourself but when or if you see your ex a few months down the line she will be like 'Oh my days, look how good he looks'  The feeling is lovely mate, trust me

Hey, sorry to hear of the split.

Whatever you do, drink plenty of water!!! It helps the body work properly, hardly anyone actually drinks enough water. it'll help your body get rid of the toxins you're releasing into your bloodstream as you hit the gym hard.

I've found recently that lots of little exercise has been good for me as well as cutting down on portion sizes and eating more fruit and veg. It's really helping lose the weight and i'm only doing 5 to 10 minutes (usually just 5) high intensity training every morning and night as well as general activity, a few games of squash here and there plus working about in the garage/cleaning the cars.

My routine consists of 1 minute hillclimbers, 1 minute situps, 1 minute hillclimbers, 1 minute leg raises and various other combinations with the odd different minute of things in there like: static squat presses with dumb bells of various weights or a minute of pushups. No breaks for your 5 to 10 minutes though!

So far i've lost a stone since January and I could have lost more if it wasn't for illness stopping me from doing it for a few weeks. It has a cumulitive effect so the longer you keep going, as in a week, a month etc every morning and night then it keeps your motabilism higher for longer. After a couple of weeks you might only lose a pound or two but after 4 weeks it's half a stone then 6 weeks it's a stone etc, really tones you up too.

Sorry, I appear to have written a bloody book here... haha

All the best,

Chris
Wouldn't be fun if it was easy, but does it have to be this much fun?

I'm feeling the same at the mo, not trained for a good 4 years due to starting a family etc.. poor excuse I know but you get comfortable

I'm looking to get back to the gym soon, not necessarily weights just yet but a mix of both to begin with to lose this paunch I've developed and about 10kg off my weight (5ft 10" and currently 90kg)

So far I've had good and bad days with cutting the crap foods out. My best move was making sure I drink plenty of water, keeps the snack cravings at bay.

Any suggestions for a good breakfast? I'm thinking some porridge?

Can't believe you have someone in here endorsing gear! Don't bother with gear unless you want your endocrine system fooked up. Do you wanna have to take Viagra everytime you want a hard on? And have shrunken balls?  :embarrassed:

Too many people are lazy and don't wanna put the time and work in. Or wait to allow the body to develop to its potential.

Genetics plays a big part too. Don't expect to be muscular if you haven't got the body type.
