Hello,

I have been down to VW twice since my last post and rejected the wheels again. The service people are being excellent I think and understand that i just want them to be perfect.
One of the wheels today was perfect except for a couple of dimples maybe 1mm d. Noticeable on an otherwise flawless surface.

I am wondering if you (the reader) could check and see if yours have dimples in them. Am i being too picky, are the dimples normal and i should just accept the best one? I only have my other wheels to compare and they appear to be dimple free.

I think i have looked at about ten wheels now. Three more have been ordered today so fingers crossed these are perfect and I can get them fitted and move on.

I would appreciate your thoughts, im drowning in Monza shadows

You are not being picky at all.The dealer should inspect them before inviting you to collect them.My wheels have no dimples, ask them are they new ones or re conditioned ones.

Thanks, i didnt think i was but i had started to question myself having been down so many times now. I have been assured that they are new ones from a few different people down there.

I feel your pain as something that should be simple is now starting to become an obsession  Not through you but through your dealer.

They know the standards you are willing to accept and they should be inspecting them carefully and rejecting any before even contemplating calling you and saying they are ready.

There is nothing worse, as you then start to question yourself "is it me, am I far toooo picky" and of course those family members round about you that you tell, are probably agreeing with you but deep down aren't interested and probably thinking "He's off his head"

Seriously though, you want the best but you need to balance it up with your sanity!

Thanks for your reply.
I agree that they could inspect and let me know but i think they want to see if i will just take them.I think they understand now that I will just wait until they are perfect.
You are probably correct with regards to Family.
Sanity? Thats for a different forum
I am determined to keep going though until they are defect free. I know that I will regret accepting something which isnt - even a little dimple.

Absolutely not. I only use the meguirs mits i have and the softest applicators for jetseal etc. I am not sure what your point is though. My posts are to do with replacement wheels.
