I always check the car over with service desk and mark off any curent dings or wheel skuffs and ask them to be very carefull and treat it like there own car. My old ED30 came back with a dent it £500 cost they had to put it right nightmare dealership.

I went out to the car before my trip down to clean the wheels and see if the scuff was removable. This is the first time I have been down on my knees over the wheels in 2 months because of the weather.
I noticed two white worm marks maybe 2mm in size on the two back wheels. One of which was the wheel with the scuff on.

I have just returned from the dealership having had the wheels inspected. 2 new wheels on order covered under warranty(expires in 4 days time).

I had three replaced in May last year and one of the affected wheels was one of those. Continued good service from lookers middlesbrough.
A good day.

Good to hear its been quickly resolved....

Thanks. Like you posted, I think it would have been difficult to make the case that the scuff came from the service so I am glad i spotted the white worm so the scuffing wasn't an issue.

My replacement wheels arrived so I went down to have them fitted. Whilst applying Jetseal 109 i noticed that the two alloys where marked under the surface.

The warranty manager eventually agreed with me after trying to tell me this was normal and none where ever perfect. I pointed out that my 4 alloys where perfect when i got the car and so where the two i had replaced due to white worm last year.
So replacements for the replacements where ordered.

I spoke with the service lady today who called to tell me the wheels had arrived. I naturally asked if she had inspected them to which she replied that she thinks these are marked also. She had spoken with the warranty manager and he had said that they where the same as the last order. She assured me that they are replacements and not the ones I rejected last week.I said I would be down tomorrow to inspect them but would not accept marked wheels.

I was then told that they could not replace them again regardless of any issues I may have. What?

My reason for posting is I feel that i may have some problems waiting for me when i go in tomorrow and wanted to be as prepared as possible to resolve them. I have made a note of V.W customer services number. Can anyone reading this post offer any advice if I find the wheels marked again?

Thanks very much

Sorry to hear your still having troubles, I know Ken(Mkviken) had very similar issues when getting replacements and from memory he had 2or 3 sets delivered to the dealers as everyone ordered came in marked...

I will try and find the thread but the mean time it might be worth PMing him...

I know he got the issue sorted in the end tho...

Sorry to hear about this situation. Another shining example of VW customer service!

All I could suggest is get in touch with VW UK.

They take complaints very seriously, you will have a person assigned to you case and they will pressure the dealer into doing wants right to rectify the situation.

Luckily in m case the dealer admitted it was their fault right away but yes they did have problems getting a replacement wheel which wasnt either damaged in transit or during fitting the tyre.

To be fair it was the brand manager who kept rejecting the wheels - knowing how fussy I am he didn't even bother showin me them as be knew I would reject them unless perfect.

In the end I got a meal out for me and the wife for about £80 as a good will gesture too.

I would give VW customer services a run tomorrow and get them on the case

I don't understand where they're coming from in saying 'this is your last set'. If they keep sending duff wheels then that's their problem and in my opinion they will have to keep throwing new wheels at you I Gil they get it right.

Thank you very much for getting back to me and thanks again Mr GTD.
I have the V.W number to call if I encounter any problems. I really hope that they are o.k and I can get them fitted and move on but the call with the service lady today just made me think all is not well. I shall see.
I shall update when I have more information.

I wonder if any of these replacement wheels are actually wheels that have been refurbed having once being exchanged from suffering whiteworm? As well as checking the condition, check the date stamp as well.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.
