Backbox only and iv gt a k&n induction on i was drivin car upptil yest wiout the maf plugged on since monday .....

Ok,so back box is held on by rubber hanger underneath and attaches to main pipe which may need new clamp fitting.I've found on my other cars that a small piece of shim metal is wrapped around the main pipe to make the fitting a bit tighter.I have a K & N induction kit on mine and the inlet air temperature sensor plugs into the back shoulder of the filter.That may be faulty so check wiring.

The car was perfect up til i parked it up for  4 months but i use to start it evry week. The left hinge on exhaust is ok the right hand side of it fell off.  Also the induction iv no idea all i kno is iv tuk the plug of the maf sensor and it dunt turn the car off does than mean the maf is ok or not. Im stuk for cash its becomng to much of a headache aswell

Shame you having so many problems. At the end its a golf thing. They can be great or on the other hand a right cnut!!!

The car will still run with the MAF unplugged,sometimes better than with it plugged in.There should be another plug with a small lead that plugs into the shoulder of the filter. http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r488/bazzagolfgti/IMG_10771.jpg
If you look at the filter on the right you have the bracket then under that you have a plug,that is the air intake temperature sensor.It just pulls out.That may be faulty.

It dunt luk like the pik no mre n i hav dun check usin vcds and air intake comes up but dosent deleteeeee

So don't you have the K & N induction kit on anymore ?.If you can try and post up a pic of your air filter and intake pipe,would help.If the hinge has broken off the backbox,may need a new backbox m8. :sad:
