Can't believe in thinking this but
« on: 07 February 2013, 18:44 »
Can't believe I'm thinking this but, i don't think I want to lower my golf!?  :undecided: driving home tonight. I'm starting to trust it a bit more now (not thinking it's going to brake down on me) and started to enjoy it. I was thinking this handles quite well on stock sus, corners well and it don't brake my back like coilovers will. I think it Might of had new springs shocks before I had. Plus I spend most of my time driving it not looking at it lol.

why not put coils on anyway? I'd bet that cheap coils at standard height would handle better than stock sus?

Yh that's what I was gunna do. But I've only got a set of cheap coilovers. And although I loved the look of my old golf lowered, I hated the ride. Probably just a moment of madness

lower by 30mm is ok and if you buy decent kit then ride won't suffer..... I really want coils but don't want the bad ride!!

I preferred the ride when I did mine. Hated driving non lowered cars.

Now I can't think about going back to a lowered car after the MK4.

Don't know where you guys live but I'm near very tight bumpy country back roads. Lowered cars suck on roads like that when you want a F1 style drive.

Why buy a abf if you can't drive it flat out on roads like that?

This is why my 8v is slammed, don't go fast

Lows without ££££ = bad ride and handling.
