Fitting Bora Sport Clocks into MK4 Golf
« on: 04 February 2013, 11:01 »
Hi Guys,

I've picked up a set of Bora Sport Clocks, and don't think I have the SKC (secret key code) for them (or at least I think!?).

I have a guide on how to do it, however I need to know here would I find the SKC for the new clocks? I have VCDS/Vagcom and VAG tacho.

Thanks

Gaz

Are your current clocks Bosch or VDO?

I didnt want to start a new thread seeing as this is exactly what I need to do. Does anyone around the dartford area code these in and how much I'm looking at roughly ?

And I may aswell tell yous about my bargain buy at the scrappy which was bora vents and clocks and new drivers handle all for 15 quid to say I was happy is an understatement lol

Cheers

Can you post a photo of the part number sticker here?

Depending on who manufactured them you can retrieve the SKC. It also depends on what immo version your car is wrt also needing other codes and new transponders.

They are immo3 clocks, good news is they will work on immo2 and immo3 cars.
Other bit of good news is that they are ones made by VDO, so SKC can be retrieved via OBD. I can do this but am nowhere near you and don't have jobs near Dartford for a while.

Do you know what you have in your car at the moment?
If you have an immo3 car then you will also need to know PIN of that car and also you will need new transponders.

New transponders? I've never had to use anything new for immo3 to immo3 clock swaps

I fitted bora sport clocks. No idea how i got em to work. As didnt have anybof the codes from the car they were from. I Plugged em  in iirc recoded them with details of my own clocks. Only thing that doesnt work right was my traction control light osnt in same place as originals and doesnt light up now when wheels skid or turn the traction control off. 😕😕
