Quick question

What's this on my inlet manifold? It was plugged in



My other manifold doesn't have the bracket for it

Didn't have that on mine  :huh: guess its a latter manifold some sort of sensor. Inlet temp to help with fuelling? As a guess

Nope.

It's the engine bay temperature sensor for the run-on fans as fitted to cars with Air Con (cars with the twin fans set-up).

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

Nope.

You could...
But you'll never have the fan cut in to cool things down.
This may not bother you...as not all 16vs have the functionality anyway.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....

I had this on mine 97 with aircon, allways wondered what it was,fans would sometimes kick in 20mins after switch off.

You could...

Does it take the reading from the manifold itself or from the engine bay? If its the later I could try find somewhere to put it. I'm guessing its the first tho  :undecided:
