Ahh thats all good then, i recently bout a shell to rebuild and that was the same, managed to get a whole chassis leg cut off at the A-pillar from a breaker in really good condition for £50! Decided to scrap in the end though as i managed to get a better car locally for cheap.

To keep the thread going, was looking on the parts pc at lunch yesterday and noticed that you can still order new rain tray covers (there was 2 in uk stock yesterday). So got me a new one with new clips:

Much cheaper than the ones that are selling on ebay for £50+new (retail is about £32)

I've got one of those but it it seems like there should be a separate bit to cover ecu. Does this one cover it all in one bit?

no they all have a separate [art to cover the ecu. But my ecu is now in the centre of the rain tray so no longer need the separate part.

Get that battery in the boot to give that poor air filter some space to inhale.

What's the fluid reservoir you've used?
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

mk2 one was used.

Battery staying there mate. Happy it will get enough cold air. Its a lot further away from the turbo than a lot of mk2 20vts ive seen. Same goes for the intercooler, cant understand why so many people have over 50% stuck behind the bumper bars

Very close to brining it home now. Interior side of things is finished, gear knob fitted, centre console back in. Just radio left to plug in.

Also sorted some heat proofing for the steering UV joint, moved the gear cables away from the downpipe, wired in alternator light.

All that's really left to do is a final check over and sort out an over fuelling problem (hope its the maf)

Oh and the bloody servo is hissing, teach me for being cleaver. Bought a powder coated one from ebay and it bloody leaks so will need to get another one sorted

Oonce its home I can give it a clean and get it looking fresh and get some pics with a camera rather than my phone
