« on: 30 December 2012, 14:44 »
ok so when the car starts with throttle (from cold )

it struggles to rev up

if it slightly blip the throttle a couple of times it will die (like its being choked )

any ideas

could this also be responsible for the throttle required to start ?

in short yes...

long version: if your flange is cracked it will suck in air the ecu does not know about i.e. leaning the mixture.
when you play with throttle the injector will inject more fuel; it still sucks in air from cracks but the vacuum pressure is lower  behind the throttle when it's open, so will suck in less from the cracked flange. hence it's running better.

make sense?
