MAF question?
« on: 18 December 2012, 11:03 »
Hi having change the camshaft position sensor for a pricey sum of £74 with no shown improvements!!  I will now be moving on to the MAF, what I want to know is do I have to completely remove the MAF to test it, or can I just unplug it and go for a drive around the block? Cheers

Thanks mate. Did you have a rough idle at around 800rpm? When I increase it to about 1200rpm it seems to be fine?

Mines the other way round ha ha. But it's defo the MAF as its fine when unplugged. The dealer wanted £120 for exchange! I've read that people paid £65 for there's? Do you get the full sensor ie the round plastic tube too? Or is it just the screw in part?

my new maf arrived today (bosch) genuine VW and fitted cured issues straight away. low voltage issue was the error and was running in limp mode and bringing tc issues on.
