Good luck.

remember. if you cant get the strut out of the strut mount on one side (think drivers but cant remember) check the drive shaft. most people dont mention that you need to disconnect the drive shaft on one side as it catches on the sib frame. seems to only happen on some peoples golfs though :s

still easy enough. undo the bolt on the hub end. slip it out. Carry on as per before.

Another no go. Its bloody stupid its like the JOMs are not ment to go on.
We got my old strut out nice a smooth, infact i was thinking this is too easy.

Then trying to het the jom strut in, that was another story.... No matter what i tryed i could only get it in half way, it was like the strut was to thick to fit in the cup, so then i removed the JOM and tryed the old strut and it went straight in....

Long story short, got my hair off, and put my old on back in.

Gunna ether sell the joms or pay someone to "somehow" fit them haven't decided yet.

Try copper grease on the bottom of the struts. and put a jack under the strutmount/wishbone and jack it up pushing the trut into the mount.

abs light. proberbly knoked one of the wires off the break

Tired all that bud, even bolted the strut in place, and tired jacking the bottom into it, abs light turned off on the way hme

Did you try cleaning the slot that the strut into using a flapping wheel on a drill??
If its 100% clean slip it in jack the hub up and while there is pressure spilt the hub with a 1/4" wratchet and extension and maybe tap it a little and should go in.
