I'm sorry but it's another fmic question!
« on: 19 October 2012, 16:36 »
Hi I need some help and guidance...

I have a Agu ko3. I am planning on upgrading to a k03s soon but until then I wanted to get all the parts together for the fmic. I have bought the cooler already, I just now need pipe work.

The questions I have are, what pipes exactly do I need? The outlets on the cooler are 63mm, I have a rough idea but am unsure of things like the map sensor? Do i need to worry about that or not? And also i have a baileys splitter valve, (shocking i know) but it was on the car already! i have a forge 007p to go on but am unsure of where the other hose that comes out the side, (where the blow off is on the splitter,) goes back into? is it the charge pipe thats currently capped? and then when i have done the fmic piping, where the Dv connects back into if it should go to the charge pipe. I have it relocated to the cold side also.

Hope this makes sense?   Thanks

the agu engine doesnt have a map sensor so thats a plus.
with your pipe work do you want to have it so the frount mount fits and is connected with the standard pipes or do you want it all custom? keeping the standard pipe work will be a lot easier as itll only be adding a bit of pipe work rather than re doing it.
as for the forge 007p, one end goes into the boost pipe (the end oppisite vacum feed)and the other goes into the air inlet to turbo pipe. hope that helps
i think i love you.....

That's what I thought, and I was just going to custom it i guess? the cooler has an outlet each side, not both the same. I was going to follow prawny's how to, roughly. And use the existing throttle body hose, then over the top same as his guide, ? would that work ok? Minus the reducers coming off the cooler I presume it's the same pipe work, it's all going for pennies on eBay.

And the 007p.. I have it cold side on the throttle body hose, so the end opposite the vacume is connected there so the one that comes out the side would I presume go to the silver charge pipe behind the engine Or the tip?

Thanks

Ye I kno so have been looking through it a lot. Just not too sure on those other bits I asked about. And also for the k03s what size is the outlet? Would it be 51mm?

The main issue with going over the top is the N75 and the DV take offs so if you have that covered
yes a K03s outlet is 51mm
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

That's what I was wondering about also, how would I best to about making sure these are ok? I'm guessing I would need a straight alloy with the connector on where it would normally connect?

Yeah some people make their own, you need to weld a piece into it for both takeoffs, I think Forge do one but it doesnt cater for the DV takeoff

I used a K04 charge pipe and an S3/LCR inlet manifold to save me messing around with loads of stuff, swaps the TB to the passenger side so it was easier for the intercooler pipe routing and mangled my old TB-IC pipe to fit onto the change pipe/turbo

Do you something like this? With the n75 welded on also?
