screech 16v you say screech would be better with a custom chip as this chip is good for a standard 8v... i've got exhaust and filter upgrades only, do you think this chip would be good for my golf?

What Joe does (pepeoi, the seller) is basically amplify the standard fuelling. I've got before and after graphs and the AFR is almost identical, just the chipped one is richer than the factory chip. See below for graphs. Tweed, it'd be a good addition to the cam for yours, it wouldn't make it run any leaner than it already is.

whileoceanasleeps - Joe actually developed the chip on a car with exhaust upgrades and intake modifications so it would go well with your car.

Regardless of whether your car is modified or not, as I said, this chip is an amplified factory map. Meaning it will add power even if your car is completely standard, manufacturers always hold back on power to balance it with durability and fuel economy.

Before chip

After chip

Both lines have the same curves, just a bit more exaggerated, the amplification.

This was the HP and torque difference, graphs are lined up, just one is scanned other is a picture.

Yes. Ebay seller under name pepeoi, his real name is Joe. If you message him prior to ordering your chip he can customize it for you further (he may charge more), things like turning off fuel overrun, more fuel at a certain rpm, etc.

Yeah ,i just presumed it would be better for a near stock 8v as the chip was made on a dyno for an 8v with standard cam ,if i were you id go for it as i did with my valver with great results .
