Random AGU problem
« on: 09 October 2012, 22:04 »
Stage 2 AGU k03s
Normaly boosting upto 22psi.

Today its not boosting over 12psi?
Plugged it in no fault codes at all.
Swapped mafs no different, unplugged N75 it then boosted upto 10psi so plugged it back in.
No pipes have blown off but when on boost you can hear a loud hissing noise?

Im almost certain its mechanical rather than sensors etc.

Surely if I had a boost leak it would still boost upto 22psi but drop dramatically?
Any suggestions? My next call would be to remove the bumper and remove every boost pipe and check for splits but still cant get my head around only boosting at 12psi and holding it there, sounds like limp mode.

PLEASE HELP lol

Had a thought an changed the ignition amp an no difference.

12psi and a loud hissing sound means a big leak somewhere mate!

Log airflow from the MAF and see what you're getting, if it's 170g/s + then it's still pulling it in, and losing it somewhere between the MAF and the inlet.

Will have to check later, I hope it is a boost leak tbh.
Just have to find it now

Nah not lumpy at all
It runs perfect infact and pulls hard upto 12psi then nothing.
Whilst I was driving through a lane last night I can hear a loud hissing noise though so sounds like air is escaping somewhere.
Im hoping its the exhuast bung in the map sensor hole
Everything else should be 100%.
I notice a BIG pop and blame on Sunday though so wondering if that had anything to do with it haha

Maybe the wastegate not seatin properly so not spinning up the turbo properly if not sounds like a leak  :undecided:
