Why did you need to cut it in half?

Love it.The filter looks good. It looked small in the last link.  Bet you love the induction roar and the dump valve noise. Top job.  Also iv got a flex cold air feed off the front bumper (where the horns are) i removed the bottom horn so my tube could sit there. It comes up just under the filter.

It work better then having it behind the bumper for some reason. I went on a 98 mile trip, got out and felt the alloy tube and it was cold. But i do have a cold air feed under mine.

The cai kit used to point to the floor. It had air flowing past it from the front lower bumper vent. Have you ever turned your head side ways on from a 100mph wind ,you cant breath (takes your breath away).

Looks good, but when it rains, the water will drop straight onto the filter, I only noticed because I was going to place mine there and then noticed when I opened the bonnet how much water fell exactly where the filter would be same as yours (now, I dont know if it was just because I lifted the bonnet or not but I thought sod that)
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)
