tt stuff

ok so i'm thinking of doing the tt front hub conversion for better handling, does it make a noticeable difference? i'm fully arb'ed up now with billy b4's and eibach springs and it could do with handling better still!

basically, is it worth the effort

it does make a difference and the adjustability is nice, but the TT upper and lower front strut braces make more of a difference imo

I'd have to disagree massively with that statement Topher.

Fitting the upper and lower braces stiffens things up, but doesn't actually change anything to deal with the mk4's terrible standard wishbones or uprights.

Fitting the TT wishbones and uprights, gives you more negative camber, more caster, more adjustability, a higher roll centre (which is desirable), and less bump steer issues.

It's a massive improvement to the way the car drives. far more than any strut brace could ever do.

What's adjustable on the tt setup?

still not a great deal to be honest!

There is much more camber adjustment in the TT setup, but the main thing is the additional gain in camber and caster that they give you.

the three threads for the ball joint have eccentric slots in the actual wishbone

ideally rack as well as it's less turns from lock to lock
