189bhp is a hell of a lot from a 1.6

Thats a 1.6L 189bhp engined civic against a 1.8t 225bhp golf which weigh about the same weight so Id be surprised if yours didn't piss all over it. Now put the same car on a tight track and it will blow yours away.

Put it, or an ITR, on a winding road and watch it piss all over the Mk3 too.
The 'proper' CTRs and ITRs brake and corner like nothing else I've driven...just sublime.

Tiring, when you aren't in the mood...but incredible when you are.

JDM EK9 CTR also had a very long 2nd gear to get to 60 MPH in under 6 seconds...quicker than a ITR...but the closer gearing of the ITR and slightly more torque has the ITR pulling back and overhauling it by the time you get to 80 MPH.

Pop a Mugen ECU in (or re-map the Honda ECU), and either one will rev to 9200 all day long.

Not to piss on any fires but i find these dont produce enough torque.. even this one thats full of custom bits is only at 240 lbft  :undecided:

dunno if id believe the claimed 4.2 0-60 time either

Well I drove the beast and was constantly making comparisons between it and my Golf. In a Word, I was trying to convince myself it wasn't any quicker than my Golf....I was f**king dreaming! My car is good for 0-60 in about 5.3 seconds and this Integra felt every bit a second quicker than my lump, easily so in fact!

A sublime track car

One of the people he bet was a modded DC2 import, match for match car, apart from the other guys was modded. revved stupid high etc etc... Still beat him though, just by timing VTECH properly and not nailing it off the line and not hitting VTECH in first.

*Cough* VTEC *cough*

Haha ooops. Not that it actually matters haha...

it would have no chance now im afraid LOL. audi RS2 turbo, wavetrac diff and modified ratios

in a different league now.. no matter what you might think. it really is

i never liked the integra, i only really liked those original Type R civics in white.. still do but it was pretty slow TBH.. and that kind of made me feel a bit let down after always thinking they were brutal

So you are suggesting that a big power engine in one of the sh!ttest chassis VW has ever made (OK...2ns sh!ttest...the FWD Mk4 was worse), will be a match for the finest FWD chassis ever produced down a backroad?
I'm aware of your power, diff and gearing...however, the ITR has a better chassis. Fact.
It also has a LSD and close gearing to counter the low torque.

I'm not arguing your Mk3 won't out accelerate it...but stick with it down a twisty road?

It must be the bestest Mk3 ever...because mine wouldn't know which way the ITR went...neither would my S3, Mk6 GTI, or any other car I've owned.
You simply can't make a McPherson strut/twist beam Mk3 corner like a double wishbone all round, motorsport tweaked Integra.
No matter how much you throw at it or what you bolt on.
You just can't.
