Some people like the challenge, getting there hands dirty and generally learning how to put an engine in.. how to strip it all down and rebuild it back up

A vr conversion isnt the best out there but it gets the ball rolling to go bigger better and having the mechanical know how to do such things

The ££ ive spent rebuilding my vr6 engine cost more than the car itself and what ive learnt by doing it is worth it

^^ what he says

id say its certainly worth it if you love your car and wnat to learn a bit.. also worth doing if your shell id a good one rather than buying a VR thats not as structurally sound etc

Taunton geezer seems a bit negative in the posts iv seen him make, not only in this thread

i'd just buy a VR6. if it is so clean it will get snapped up at a good price then you can buy a clean VR6!

at nearly 3 litres and 6 cylinders with "only" 170bhp i'd rather put the 1.8t in then get it chipped ect ect.
