"touché" an acknowledgment of the striking home of a remark or the capping of a witticism. (French)

Off course it's worth doing...

One thing to note, if yours is on a K, then you will need the pedal box from the donor too which are a real pain in the sphincter to change

What fun can be had from doing this?  Any guidance of advice?

I'd say do it dude, I'm popping mine into my mk2 and half way in. takes a little longer if you want a good job make sure you have lots of time and a considerate girlfriend.

Also like these guys say you'll gain a lot of info and feel like a king when it turns over

MK2 golf 16v :-)

Keep it orig mate, Vrs are not that great anyway.

They are however, far superior to the ashmatic 8v.

I'm no VR6 fan...but they do sound awesome and at least produce better results than the old 8v.

Stick a V6 in it...A V8 won't fit...so a V6 will have to do!

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

I'm no vr6 fan but both the 16v mk3 Iv had were only slightly better performers than the old 8v engine that used to be in mine

VR6 are quicker.. Even off the motorway

This whole argument seems to be mainly based on money being no object. OP when you say worth it do you mean financially or mechanically?
