Hey guys,

Alittle while ago I posted a few error codes I was getting..

17545
 P1137
Long Term Fuel Trim Add.Fuel,Bank1 System too Rich

17704
 P1296
 Cooling system malfunction

17705
 P1297
Connection turbocharger - throttle valve pressure hose

I manage to fix the 17704 by replacing the Temp sender & termo but I still have the other two, So far I have done the following..
  • Changed the DV for a new strandard.
  • Changed the MAF for a new one.
  • Checked front PCV breather (looks fine)
  • Checked the pipe between the intercooler & Turbo (looked fine)
  • Looked at all the pipes/hoses I could look at but couldnt see any splits or aything/

Now I do know that my 2ndry air thingy is faultly as it sounds like a tracktor when i start her up for about 60 sec but I have been told this has nothing to do with my fault codes.

My 2 questions are, before I get her booked into Euro performance is there anything else you guys can think of that i could/should or havent tryed yet?
also am I right in thinking that the error code 17545 would be because of 17705 causing it? or will that defo be for another reason??

Thanks guys :)

You need someone who knows what they're doing with pressure tests. They are also called smoke tests. See if any local garages can do it

For a smoke test go see Craig at gotboost in Bridgend I think it costs around £35 but dont quote me on that.

As above spend £5-6 on 2 meters of 3mm silicone tubing off ebay and change the vacuum pipes from inlet to fbr and recirculating valve.
The breather pipes can be a nightmare when split etc too I wouldnt bother replacing them id just fit a catch can its much cheaper.
